MADELEINE HUNTER

Article ImageSince graduating with an MA in Performance Design at Central Saint Martins in 2011, Madeleine worked on the set for a feature film in Chile, before embarking on a number of set design and creative roles.

Madeleine has over 10 years experience teaching extra curricular art to children and young adults. She is mainly involved with running our holiday courses & doing private tuition. She also contributes & writes the art pages for monthly childrens subscription magazine Brilliant Brainz This consists of an artists double page biography spread and a step by step art project. She has also run some art workshops in schools including prop making & mural painting. 

Alongside her own personal practice, she has continued her own artwork and teaching, and particularly enjoys teaching 3D projects that involve transforming recycled materials and rubbish into beautiful objects. Examples of this can be seen @therubbishmama on instagram. 

She recently travelled to Right to Dream Academy in Ghana with Josie Hunter to teach a week of creative art workshops to the pupils aged 8-17 and paint an 8 metre mural inspired by local surroundings and the goals of the academy. She loves botanical illustration, as well as fine detailed acryclic & mixed media painting for her own art work & loves to teach this. 

She brings enormous enthusiasm in her teaching through her passion for all her creative pursuits. She teaches a range of media from drawing and observation to 3D prop making and scenic work.
